School Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

The Principal invites applications from experienced and passionate Finance Officers for the following position:

School Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

Commencing as soon as possible

We seek an experienced and focused Finance Officer who will:

  • Manage the full end to end cycle of school fees from the creation and sending out of statements, processing payments and following up all outstanding fees each term.
  • Process payments received, sundry receipts and all transactions on the College bank accounts daily.
  • Prepare and process all accounts receivable documentation, including generating invoices to commercial debtors.
  • Address all emails into the fee’s inbox daily, ensure timely response is actioned daily. Handle enquiries from parents in relation to school fees and reconcile accounts as needed.
  • Process all Direct debits in line with the set weekly, fortnightly, monthly and term cycles. Assist parents in setting up school fee payments. Follow up with declined direct debits in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all transactions (for this role) are accurately recorded and processed within the TASS Finance Module and review applicable GST reports for accuracy.
  • Conduct Weekly Fee collection calls to outstanding accounts, in a professional manner, to ensure that the college maintains low bad debts and good cash flow. Report on debtors Trial Balance Weekly Finance Leaders. Ensure all diary notes are updated and accurate.
  • Reconcile BM Monitor account weekly.
  • Provide administrative support to other School Officers as requested by the Director of Finance and/or Dean of Business Operations.
  • Provide back-up support to Accounts Payable and other accounting functions as required.
  • Uphold high standards of professional conduct, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Is committed to supporting the ethos of collaboration at all times with a ‘can do’ solutions mindset.
  • Has or has the ability to apply for a Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and tasks including prioritising work and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
