Edmund Rice Education Australia

Ambrose Treacy College is proud to be a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, which is administered by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA).

Established in 2007 by the Christian Brothers, EREA is a network of schools, entities and offices that offer a Catholic education in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Edmund Rice. In 2014 there are almost 50 schools administered by EREA, enrolling over 35,000 students throughout Australia.

As part of their mission within the Church and shaped by the spirit and charism of Blessed Edmund Rice, all schools offer an education guided by The Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition. EREA has its own canonical and civil identity but remains closely connected to the Christian Brothers and their ongoing ministry. The integration of the touchstones reflects our mission and helps inform the authentic development of the Edmund Rice charism within our community.
