The Final Countdown

We now enter a very busy period for students, staff and families as we facilitate final assessment and reporting. Thank you for your support at home in helping your son to prepare positively, be well dressed, hydrated and rested for his days at school as we work together towards the time of sand between our toes! There is plenty to be done in these weeks and we wish all students the very best for their assessments.

Rituals and Ceremonies

Ritual and ceremony are vital in all schools and in a special way within a Catholic community. We look forward to the many meaningful processes of the next fortnight including:

  • Celebration of Excellence
  • Year 12 Reflection Retreat
  • Year 12 Handover Assembly
  • Year 12 Valedictory
  • Year 9 Family Rite of Passage Rituals & Transition to Senior School
  • Year 4 Mass & Raft Race Regatta
  • Year 6 Family Mass
  • Year 6 Mass & Transition to the Middle School rituals
  • Final Year Level Assembly
  • Final House Assembly
  • St Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Drive
  • Christmas Liturgy
  • Christmas Carnival

These special occasions, some grand and complex, some humble and simple, all come together in marking, signposting and celebrating our values as a community and important moments of growth and evolution for us collectively and for the individuals in our community.

Congratulations to all students who will be recognised for their achievements across our three College Pillars of Service, Learning and Leadership tomorrow evening at our annual Celebration of Excellence.

Thank you to all families who are generously contributing to our St Vincent de Paul Drive and for the extraordinarily kind gift towards the ATC Parents & Friends Staff Christmas lunch. We are very grateful and blessed.

Thank you to all staff who plan for and facilitate these events and all students and parents who engage with and support these important occasions and processes.

Tuition Fees 2026

Edmund Rice Education Australian Colleges schools such as ours submit budgets for approval by the external governing body Board and our feedback is that this process will not be completed until the last week of school this year after the Board meets on Monday 24 November. I apologise for this later than usual notice as I appreciate that families would like to be in a position to plan for the year ahead. I will share this information with the community at the first opportunity next week.

I thank our Dean of Business Operations, Ms Deb Carcary and all budget line managers for their diligence in preparing the 2026 budget.

God Bless,

Chris Ryan
