The Beat of the Drums Signals the Final Weeks of Term

I greatly look forward to our Formal Music Concert this Thursday evening at River Life. Our music program, students and staff are amongst the best of what we have on offer at ATC and as I said to our Year 12 musicians on assembly last week when they received their Music ties, we are so grateful for the service and leadership our musicians provide to our community. Please register via the link if you are attending on Thursday evening. Ambrose Treacy College Formal Music Concert 2025 - Riverlife Baptist Church | Brushfire

Week 7 Planning

Week 7 and 8 of Term 3 are well known as a challenging pinch point in schools. It is a great time to increase engagement with your son around all the simple things such as shined shoes, uniform, haircut, organisation of his bag and materials and explicit conversation and support around his school work and assessment. Resetting during this time is helpful for him, yourself and staff at school. Thank you for your support of your son during this busy time as everyone grows weary.

Working at EREA Colleges

The teacher shortage across the country continues to evolve and is a very real issue across all sectors and while it is very challenging in provincial and remote areas, market competition within cities is also very tight. We are not immune to these challenges at ATC. Therefore, Edmund Rice Education Australia Colleges Principals are collaborating in a new initiative to attract potential staff for our schools.

On Monday, September 8 from 5.30pm to 7pm at St Laurence’s College, EREA Colleges is hosting a collaborative initiative to advertise employment at our schools. This includes ATC, St Edmund’s, St James, St Patrick’s, Terrace , Nudgee and St Laurence’s collaborating in a market space where interested persons can ask questions followed by some presentations including from our own early career teacher, Mr Riley Riordan. Please feel very welcome to share this information with people you know. Persons employed as a result of this initiative will receive a $500 bonus on commencement.

Community Prayer

Lord, we pray for those in our community who are suffering. Be with them in this time of hardship and uncertainty. Give comfort and peace to those who have lost loved ones. May their sorrow be turned into strength, and their distress turned into peace. May our hearts remain loving and pure as we seek too always be compassionate to those around us.

God bless,

Chris Ryan
