ANZAC Day
The college commemorated ANZAC Day with two liturgies today, where we were able to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served in the armed forces in times of peace, as well as war. Ms Di Elsworth represented the Kenmore-Moggill RSL Sub Branch and Brigadier Mark Smith (and also the father of an ATC student) gave a meaningful occasional address which highlighted how the values of ANZAC mirror those we hold close as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. We also thank Private Dave Kelly & Ms Michelle Smith for attending our liturgies. This time of remembrance was beautifully supported by our cadets, musicians and singers.
On Saturday 25 April students are invited to join the ATC community at the Graceville ANZAC Service and march. Students wishing to march are asked to wear formal uniform with blazer and tie. The meeting point will be Apple Street opposite the Graceville Train Station at 7.00am. The march will finish at Graceville Memorial Park for the ANZAC Service from 7.30am to 8.15am. Students can meet Ms Alison Conlan, Ms Janine McGrath, Ms Amelia Del Favero or Ms Elizabeth Madsen at this time.
Bridge Works
Many ATC families use the Walter Taylor Bridge. Please note the following essential works listed. Students who play cocurricular sport on Saturday are most likely to be affected. Please factor these works into your travel time.
To minimise the impact on the community, full bridge closures will take place when traffic volumes are at their lowest. Closures are on the following weekends in May and June 2026:
These dates and times may change depending on the weather and how work progresses.
