The Principal invites applications from experienced and passionate Visual Arts Technicians for a Part‑Time (three days/week) position, for the following role:
Visual Arts Technician
(Part Time: Negotiable 2 - 3 Days/Week Term Time)
Commencing as soon as possible
This is a pivotal position within Visual Arts Faculty, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, connection and purposeful work. In this exciting role you will be the central point of coordination for staff and students in ensuring the smooth delivery of key Visual Arts classroom programs, events and initiatives.
We are looking for someone who:
- Excels as the ‘go‑to’ person in a dynamic school setting, providing proactive support to a busy Visual Arts Faculty.
- Brings experience in ordering supplies, invoicing, budgeting, photocopying, preparation of art rooms for teaching, updating of registers and storage of required chemicals.
- Has proven capability in coordinating the setup of exhibitions and events, including risk assessments and the development of clear, professional procedures.
- Demonstrates expert-level proficiency to assist across Ceramics, Printmaking, Painting Specialisation, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe, use of Visual Arts equipment,
- Builds positive, professional relationships with colleagues and students, and the wider school community, upholding high standards of integrity, communication, discretion and teamwork.
- Shows a genuine commitment to supporting student academic ability and wellbeing and contributing to a caring, values‑driven school culture.
- Holds, or is eligible to apply for, a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
