Year 8 Retreat – A Stronger Man
This term, Year 8 students participated in a Retreat called ‘A Stronger Man’ where they were challenged to consider their roles in providing a positive voice to their own, and others’ lives. The retreat also challenged students to be examples of Signum Fidei and to live lives which reflect their values and beliefs.
Year 8 Toy Drive for Wesley Hospital
Proving that Helping Other People’s Easy (H.O.P.E), Year 8 students initiated a Toy Drive to support the children in the Paediatric Ward at the Wesley Hospital. All Year 8 students demonstrated ‘Signs of Faith’ when they bought a considerable number of toys, games and books to give to those who are going through a tough time in hospital. In a term where there has been so much to celebrate, I was very pleased to witness students making time to be Signs of Faith, through their care and compassion shown to others.
As the term steamrolls ahead, the end of year events will appear on the horizon. Please keep a close eye on the College app for updates and Exam Block information. The year 8 Assessment Planner is on the College App and all students and parents are urged to refer to this as they plan to succeed.
