Sydney Tour Information
STOP PRESS: The tickets for the Sydney Opera house performance are now on sale through the Opera House website: http://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/whatson/2016_aimf.aspx
Individual tickets are $33 each (all categories are the same price) and there is an $8.50 transaction fee. The ticket type is general admission – which means there is not allocated seating. We will meet half an hour before the concert (which begins at 7 pm) and enter as a group hopefully! Here is a taste of the Festival through World Projects website. Tickets for the Opera House performance on Wednesday evening 6 July are NOW available. Other performances while in Sydney at the World Projects Music Festival are all FREE so everyone can come along and watch our Touring Bands.
Big Band Festival
Big Band Performance at Jazz Club – See Performing Arts Events Tab for more details and booking information:
On Saturday 21 May our Big Band is performing at the Brisbane Jazz Club at Kangaroo Point. Band members must arrive by 12.15pm. Seating in the venue is not allocated, so the earlier the better for families to get a good seat. The Handbell Workshop and Concert is on Saturday 28 May at Coorparoo Secondary College (12pm to 5pm).
An information letter has been sent home and you can follow this link to pay for the workshop and concert. We would love to see parents and family members at the Concert to watch some extra-amazing handbell ensembles.
This year Brigidine College, with assistance from Marist College Ashgrove and Ambrose Treacy College will be producing ‘Bring It On’ The Musical. The production will be staged in the Schonell Theatre at the University of Queensland on Friday 15 July at 7pm and Saturday 16 July at 2:00pm and 6.30pm.
Bring It On The Musical is an explosive musical comedy based on the hit film of the same name. It is a theatre production that truly dazzles with an incredible spectacle of high-energy, witty dialogue, zingily clever songs and inventive visuals. Tickets are $26 for Adults, $16 for students. Cultural Support Group Coffee
Please come along for a coffee and informal chat about upcoming events on Thursday 26 May at 10 am at Simon’s Gourmet Gallery. Please let Mrs Scalia know if you are able to attend.
Help: Winter Concert on 2 June – Sausage Sizzle and Bar operating and help is needed for both please.
All Junior Ensembles and choirs will be performing at this Concert. The Middle School students will get a chance to shine on 14 June.
