Water Polo Making a Splash

The ATC water polo season in 2017 will again be one of growth and learning. We have thirteen new players across three teams equating to a lot of raw talent. It also means players are still settling in and getting familiar with each other. Our more established players are to be commended on their willingness to help the new boys in explaining the rules, the different shots and the tactics behind Water Polo.

It’s not the team with the best players that wins, it’s the players with the best team that wins’

There is a commitment across all three teams to work together as a group and take care of the ATC team as a whole. In the first few games played this season we have seen incredible improvement in our ability to take on the opposition. Although we haven’t won a game yet, we are scoring goals and are winners in building team culture. Last year one of our teams had a very tough year and faced losing with a stoic determination to keep improving. They didn’t give up and I am very proud to say that those boys have returned as a team this year and along with a few new recruits, are motivated to take on the best in the competition.

The opposition teams are starting to take notice of our boys and I am extremely proud of the character, resilience and skill they are building. I am certain that our strength lays not in having the best players, but having the best teams. We always encourage and welcome supporters at our games so please check the App for weekly game times and come along to barrack poolside.
