Tuckshops

ATC has two tuckshops, Paddy’s Place for Years 4 to 7 and The Bakehouse for Years 8 to 12. Paddy’s Place is located in the Middle School precinct, under the Year 7 classrooms and The Bakehouse is located at Westcourt with a lovely view over the river from the lunch deck.

Our tuckshops offer nutritious and tasty meal options made fresh on site each day, including hot meals; a range of sandwiches, rolls and wraps; bakery items delivered every day; fresh fruit and salad options; and, a selection of snacks and drinks. There are also daily seasonal specials that change each term. Special dietary needs can be catered for, such as gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free.

Both tuckshops are open five days a week for first and second break and Paddy’s Place opens each day from 7.30am to serve breakfast to all year levels. Students pick up pre-ordered morning tea and lunch from their tuckshop and are also able to purchase snacks and drinks across the counter during break time.

Tuckshop orders

The ATC tuckshops are cashless and students need to set up a Flexischools account to pay for any purchases. Details about how to set up a Flexischools account can be found on the Parent Platforms page.

Morning tea and lunch need to be pre-ordered via Flexischools. Orders close at 8.30am each day. Breakfast is only available for over the counter purchase. Students wishing to purchase food, snacks or drinks across the counter at either breakfast or break time need to have a Flexischools account linked to their student card. Purchases can only be made if a student has sufficient credit on their Flexischools account and have their student card at the time of purchase.

Allergy advice

ATC is an Allergy Aware School where the health and safety of our students is paramount. Enrolled within our school are a number of students with life threatening food allergies. The basis of our approach is risk minimisation and education. Our tuckshop staff take great care to try to exclude any traces of food allergens and are trained in food management, hygiene, safe food handling and allergen education. Our volunteers are also educated on food safety. Due to the wide selection of menu items in both our tuckshops and the fact that we source our products from many food suppliers, we cannot guarantee that our tuckshop facilities can offer a completely allergen free service.

Menu

The current menu for the tuckshops is available to view on Flexischools.

Volunteers

The support of volunteers is invaluable in providing the tuckshop service to our students and staff. Volunteering at the tuckshop is a great way to meet other parents and carers and to familiarise yourself with the school environment. If you would like to help out at the tuckshop please email tuckshop@atc.qld.edu.au
