We held our annual preseason swimming camp at Burleigh Heads during the school holidays which was very successful. A big thank-you goes to the 33 swimmers who attended this camp and made it the best camp environment that I have been associated with. Also, thanks go to Fiona Kearney, Claire Mulvihill and Tayla Jones for giving up their time to run this excellent event. We are all looking forward to next year’s camp.
A list of all upcoming meets has been placed on the school app along with the nomination form for the Northern District Trials. Please see the swimming section on the app for all updated information about the current swimming season. It is expected that all swimmers attending district trials also participate in the Brother Miller Shield however we encourage all swimmers to participate in the Brother Miller Shield whether they go to district trials or not. The Br Miller Shield is the first event in the selection process for the QCIS team. Information regarding travel arrangements etc for Br Miller shield are on the College App and available for download via the link below.
We are looking forward to a great swimming season and if you have any queries regarding your child’s involvement then please email me.
We would like to thank everyone who got involved in making the last two days of inter-house swimming competition a great success. The year 7 – 8 and the year 9 – 11 swimming carnivals encouraged all students to embrace house spirit and dress up for the day. A big congratulation go to all the students that did their houses proud. A full photo album of the two days of Interhouse Swimming Carnival fun has been posted to the College Facebook Page.Congratulations to Leinster House who took out the honours at both the Middle School Carnival and Senior School Carnival!
