Robotics Club Prepare for Lego League 2021

This year will be the first time ATC has competed since 2019, which is very exciting for our Robotics Club members. Students recently received this years challenge kit called Cargo Connect, which explores the future of transportation.

FIRST Lego explains, “From the shipment of packages in rural and urban areas, to disaster relief delivery and high-tech air transit, teams will re-imagine faster, more reliable, inclusive, and sustainable transportation innovations that better connect and grow communities and economies around the world.

This year, FIRST teams, including our team from ATC, will address today’s global challenges related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #9, focused on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.

By encouraging FIRST participants to think about future transportation sustainability, we are empowering them to be the next generation of leaders and innovators, tackling the world’s toughest challenges.

Students have created the models required for the challenges and have begun designing programming solutions using their new Lego inventor robot.

The next few months are going to be very busy in Robotics Club and I guarantee they will be packed with fun technology and the exploration of new digital skills. We look forward to sharing more Robotics news with you in our next blog!
