There were many positive comments from the audience about our students and their skills in the Ensembles and in the choir. They could not believe that they were only in Year 5 and so talented!
There has been some lost property as a result of the QCMF weekend. Please check the Lost Property area at College Reception and make sure you have all of your uniform items.
On Saturday the 27 August we will be staging our first ever ATC Formal Music Evening at St Laurence’s College ERPAC. This exciting evening of music will feature most of our ATC Choirs and Ensembles in a world class venue and is an opportunity for our musicians to perform in a formal setting in front of a large audience. The concert commences at 6.30pm with pre-concert entertainment from 6.00pm in the foyer. Please be aware that this concert is a very important part of our Performing Arts Calendar – all members of the ensembles on the program are expected to be there on Saturday – we look forward to your company. ENTRY IS FREE OF CHARGE.
Afternoon rehearsals/sound checks will be held at the venue following the proposed schedule below. Students (except for Junior Choir and Junior Concert Band – who will be in uniform on arrival) will arrive in free dress (with closed in shoes) but bring their full formal performance uniform to change into along with all necessary instruments and music. They will stay on from their scheduled arrival/rehearsal time and will be provided with a simple BBQ dinner prior to the concert commencing.

Please note that ALL performers will be provided with dinner – a sausage in bread and a drink. If they would like more food for dinner, they will need to bring some money or some extra food from home. There is no charge to come to the concert. Please bring your family and friends!

Thanks to the mums who came along to our CSG meeting on Wednesday. We got lots of ideas down on paper and we have our Jazz by the River Volunteers under control. The invitations are LIVE and the booking site is up and running. This is going to be bigger and better than last year – if that is possible! We have two fabulous stages overlooking the river and a myriad of other activities to keep you entertained on Saturday 15 October from 4 pm (This is only the second Saturday after the September school vacation – so don’t wait to book) Our Jazz Ensemble and Big Band will be performing on the day as well as our headline act – the ATC ALL STARS BAND with internationally renowned vocalist Miss Tamara O’Callaghan.
