The achievements of the Junior Band moving from being able to blow, bang and slide out three notes in March to playing professional instrumental pieces like Geronimo, Latin Magic and Jingle Bells was a tremendous achievement.
Thanks to Mrs Milne and the tuckshop staff for providing us with a yummy breakfast. The Percussion Ensemble performance was a great way to end the concert and show off their talent with mallets and sticks! We wish these performers all the best for their auditions next week.
Many thanks to the Junior School Instrumental Co ordinator and conductor Mrs Catherine Esbensen for her tireless work with this energetic group of 85 boys from Years 4 – 6. Our Percussion Ensemble also had a gig at this concert and entertained us with the Super Mario Bros theme.
Tonight we have our final evening concert in our seasonal series. WE have 9 ensembles performing in this Summer concert that begins at 6.30 pm. Thanks again to our Instrumental Music Staff for their management of this and all of the concerts this year.
There are NO more Friday assembly performances.
Brass Ensemble will be performing the Remembrance Day Service at 11 am this Friday – all are welcome to come along.

TONIGHT– Summer Concert 6.30 pm
The order of the performances will be: Jazz Ensemble; Concert Band; Guitar Ensemble; Saxophone Ensemble; Junior Clarinets; Senior Clarinets; Junior Flutes; Senior Flutes; Wind Ensemble.
Performance uniform please and be at school by 6 pm.
There will be a bar open at the concert – from 5.15 pm and it will run until 6.30 pm when the concert begins. We will sell chips and lollies also but NO hot food. We anticipate the concert will be finished by 7.45 pm.

Boys who are graduating will sit with their parents.
Congratulations on full attendance at both handbell practices this Monday. There are now 33 ringers here at ATC. 18 Junior School members and 15 in the Middle School Ensemble. Be on the lookout for an email coming home this week discussing the final rehearsal on 21 November.
Last Monday we welcomed Mrs Carmel Daveson from Mackay to our rehearsals. She is the President of the Handbell Association of Australia and New Zealand. Thank you Mrs Daveson for coming along and encouraging us, and for your positive feedback.
