Performing Arts News Week 5 Term 4 2016

Last nights Choral Concert in the Chapel of St. Joseph.

As always, we are amazed at the talent of our young performers. The Vocal Concert on Wednesday night in the Chapel was testament to the dedication of our Choral staff, Mr Jason Goopy and Ms Kate Thompson. The audience were delighted to hear our choirs singing so beautifully. We acknowledge Mrs Mary McGuinness and thank her for her accompaniment on the piano.

This Friday will be the last performance for our Symphonic Winds for the year. The Ensemble has had an amazing year of performances and we look forward to this performance. Be at school by 8 am and be ready to set up on the Hall stage. (Usual Friday uniform)

Next week there will be some changes to venues of rehearsals due to Speech and Drama AMEB exams. All ensembles will be notified of any changes.

Cultural Support Group

Many thanks to the mums for coming along on Monday to our Jazz by the River debrief and coffee. We have such an enthusiastic and dedicated group and it is lovely to sit and chat instead of flipping sausages, pulling pork or serving behind the bar! Please note that the Summer Concert is on 10 November and we will have a bar & snacks only service. We ask for your help at this, our last performance for the year. Come along and let’s toast a fabulous 2016 while we listen to some magical music from our sons.
