Performing Arts News Week 1 Term 4 2016

The signature event Jazz by the River is going to be spectacular! It won’t be long before we reach capacity at our new Main Stage and Gully Stage areas. Please click here to buy your tickets.

We have a Magic Show & and the Brigidine Song and Dance troupe and Choir as well as guest bands to keep you entertained at this exceptionally popular event on Saturday 15 October from 4 pm . The ATC ALL STARS BAND with Miss Tamara O’Callaghan as the vocalist will begin at 7.20 pm and will keep you entertained with classic and popular jazzy tunes. Tickets are $35 per family; $15 per adult; $10 concession and $5 per child
Raffle tickets and Eat Street vouchers are also available on the booking site so it is a ONE STOP SHOP.

Our raffle is getting bigger by the day – all classes have been asked if they can donate a bottle of wine or box of chocolates or pantry goods – please deliver either to the Office or to the classroom by next Wednesday. If it is alcohol then the Office would be the best place.

We have an amazing Art auction being prepared for this event – you will be able to bid for your son’s individual or group piece of art on the day and bidding wars will need to be supervised. Online Bidding

Rehearsals and performances

All rehearsals are back up and running and we are getting ourselves in great shape for the Jazz by the River event on 15 October.
Big Band – please continue to practise The Chicken as well as your other pieces and remember that some of you will be needed at 6 pm on Monday 10 October in the Speech and Drama room for an All Stars Rehearsal.
Singers – Junior Chamber Choir and Middle School Singers are involved in Jazz by the River also –Junior Chamber Choir – your rehearsals in Week 2 & 3 are Monday mornings 7 am SHARP and Wednesdays at 2nd break Mr Goopy
Handbells –. Rehearsals are on next Monday 10 October for both ensembles.

There have been NO changes to rehearsals of ensembles/ bands for Term 4. Please follow the link below to download the updated Term 4 Activities Timetable.

Cultural Support Group

We have several opportunities for you to help out with our Jazz by the River. Click here to sign on to volunteer for the many jobs.

There is a homebake Trybooking site also for brownies and cup cakes if you are either unable to attend on the day or are a wiz in the kitchen please click here to donate.
