No detail was overlooked and students were even given advice on understanding how their partners may be feeling about attending the event. It was very pleasing to see how our young men met the challenges of their first significant College event leading into their Senior year. The boys and their partners arrived at the Victoria Park Golf Club looking most elegant and self-assured. Partner introductions were handled by the boys with maturity and poise. Finn Lentz and Harry Elder acted in the role of MC’s and performed the welcome and house keeping with humour and grace.
The support for the cohort from the staff was most obvious with a large number of teachers present on the night. It was very refreshing to see the enjoyment and sheer simple fun the students had as they danced and sang the evening away with their friends and partners.
Thanks are due to many people for the success of the evening firstly to Liza Peapell, Sally Flynn and their committee for the thoughtfulness and hard work they put into organising the event. Thanks also to the staff at Victoria Park Golf Club who ensured the venue and catering were presented in such a stylish way. Finally, thanks and congratulations to the men of year 11 and their partners who made the evening another very notable, memorable and successful ‘first’ in the unfolding Ambrose Treacy story.
