Arriving on the First Day
Arrive at classroom before 8.15am and unpack bags. Year 4 teachers and Year 6 buddies will escort the Year 4 students to the St Francis Xavier Centre for a Start of Term Assembly held at 8.25am
Drop off bags at homeroom before 8.15am and meet on the Year 5 deck.
Drop off bags at homeroom before 8.15am and go to their Year 4 buddy’s classroom.
YEARS 7 – 12
Arrive before 8.15am, drop their bags to their locker and proceed to St Francis Xavier Centre.
Finishing on the First Day
School will finish for Year 4 students at 2:30pm (only on the first day) and students are to be collected from Nudgee Junior Hall by a parent or caregiver.
YEARS 5 – 9
All students in Years 5-9 will finish at 3pm and pick up is from the Central Road or Bridge Street pick up zones.
YEARS 10 – 12
All students in Years 10-12 will finish at 3pm and pick up is from the Senior School roundabout.
Please make sure your son knows the pick-up arrangements for your family on the first day as the traffic can be quite congested around the College. Follow the link below to download the ATC site maplink below for location of pick up zones.
Items required for the First Day
College hat, morning tea, lunch, water bottle, school books in College bag.
YEARS 8 – 12
Must bring their locker padlock if they have not already done so and their fully charged laptop.
Uniforms for First Day
On the first day, students are to wear their Day Uniform to school. This includes the blue pinstriped shirt, grey shorts, College hat, long socks and polished, black school shoes. Teachers will inform boys on which day they are to wear their sports uniform. _Year 6 have Specialist Learning Day on Wednesday and will need to wear their Sports Uniform on the first day of Term 1.
The College is a sun smart school and all students are required to wear a College hat any time they are in direct sunlight.
Term 1 Uniform
Students are not required to wear their school tie or suitcoat in Term 1, with the exception of our Opening Mass on Tuesday 11 February 2020 when all students in Years 4-11 must wear the College tie with their Day Uniform. Students in Year 12 are to wear the full Formal Uniform to the Opening Mass. The Winter Uniform which includes suitcoat and tie, is worn from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day each year.
Hair should be neatly cut, combed and groomed. Extremes of hairstyles are to be avoided, eg undercuts, tracks or lines, tinted or coloured hair, a minimum of gauge three blade.
College uniform items are available from The School Locker, Oxley. They are open 7 days a week from now until the middle of February. Information regarding purchasing uniforms is available on The School Locker website or by phoning the Oxley store on 3725 2500. Parking on the First Day
Parking will be limited to Kate Street and Bridge Street car parks and on surrounding streets on Wednesday 29 January. There will be no parking on the sport ovals. There will no longer be any parking or drop off at the top roundabout and we ask that parents refrain from driving up to College Reception to drop off their sons. This area is a pedestrian zone and the safety of our students and staff is paramount. The Grounds Staff will be on hand to direct and control traffic on the first day of term. Please follow their directions to ensure a smooth start to the day.

Brisbane Bus Lines Service
We recommend parents purchase tickets as early as possible, prior to school starting. Students can collect their pre-ordered bus pass from Student Reception. Click here to purchase Brisbane Bus Lines bus tickets via Flexischools.
Select the ‘Online Ordering’ tab. Select ‘Register’ and follow the prompt to set up an ONLINE ACCOUNT and ensure you enter your son’s ATC Student ID Card number. Choose a 10 Trip or Term Pass and click ‘ADD’. Make your payment via credit card.
Southern Cross Bus Service
Further bus services are chartered through Southern Cross Transit and shared with Brigidine College. Ticket purchases are made through the Southern Cross Transit office. Please click here to jump to the Southern Cross Transit website for route information and ticket purchases.

We encourage parents to discuss drop off/pick up points for buses, with 2019 details as follows:-

o Southern Cross Transit – Witton Road (behind cricket nets). Students cross at Kate Street pedestrian crossing which is controlled by crossing signals. Students MUST cross here.

Text Book Hire Collection
On the first day of term, text books can be collected between 8.30am and 6pm from Westcourt Library.
