The annual ATC Trivia Night will be held on Saturday 29 July at 6pm in the Nudgee Junior Hall. The theme this year is ‘Countries’. If you need to join a table, contact your Year Level Parent Liaison, then include this information when booking online. If you have your table organised, nominate a team captain and provide their details in your booking. Bookings Close Monday 24 July. Of course we will have RAFFLE PRIZES AND PRIZES ON THE NIGHT! Buy raffle tickets online or on the night. The NJ Hall opens at 2pm for table decorating.

One country theme per table, and each table is required to have a theme song to go with their choice of country. Bonus points for dancing to your theme song! No anthems allowed. Book Club
Next book club will be held at Laurraine Murray’s place (287J Kenmore Road, Fig Tree Pocket) on Monday 17 July. We are reading “The Mayne Inheritance” by Rosamond Siemon. Enjoy a read over the holidays and join us on 17 July.

Year 4 Holiday Play in the Park

Annual ATC Cook Off Competition
Are you a Junior School Student? Do you love cooking? Do you love a challenge? Then get ready for the famous ‘ATC Cook Off’! Choose a dish that you would like to cook and then bring your dish to school on Monday July 17 for the first round of tasting and judging. The Cook Off runs throughout Term 3 and culminates with a live cooking station judging on stage to determine our ATC Masterchef! Community Fun Rund CTK

Registration is now open for the annual CTK FUN RUN/WALK! This is a family fun event taking place at Simpsons Playground, Graceville on Sunday 30 July. Our inaugural event was a sell out so don’t miss this opportunity to book your tickets early. Click here to register.

Aspergers Association Guest Speaker
On Thursday July 20 from 7pm – 9pm at St Matthew’s Church Hall (cnr. Oxley and Sherwood Rds. Sherwood) guest speaker Berthine Ommensen – PHD Psych student will present “Changes in ASD characteristics, social and emotional functioning throughout the life span”. Cost: $5 per person / couple

Berthine Ommensen is a PhD candidate in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland. Her primary area of research is autism and ageing, with a particular focus on changes in autism characteristics across the lifespan, and the emotional and social functioning of older adults with high functioning autism spectrum conditions. Berthine is conducting her research under the supervision of Associate Professor Kate Sofronoff, Professor Tony Attwood and Professor Nancy Pachana.

Marist Art Show
On Saturday 22 July, Marist Ashgrove will be holding an Art Show. The show will exhibit works from over 25 Brisbane artists, including Finalists from the Royal Queensland Figurative Art Prize, the Rotary Art Spectacular and the Lethbridge Small Art Award. RSL Sherwood Indooroopilly Annual STOMP On the Sunday July 23 the RSL will host their annual STOMP a 17km trek from ANZAC Square to the RSL at Corinda. The trek is in honour of World War I veterans and will raise money through donations for veterans within the community. Anyone over the age of 12 years is more than welcome to participate and the entry fee is $25. For full details click here.
