Next book club will be held at Laurraine Murray’s place (287J Kenmore Road, Fig Tree Pocket) on Monday 17 July. We are reading “The Mayne Inheritance” by Rosamond Siemon. Enjoy a read over the holidays and join us on 17 July.
We look forward to seeing you in Mt. Sion Staff Room (at the Junior School Library precinct) at 6.30pm on Wednesday 12 July (WEEK 1) for our first meeting in Term 3. If you haven’t had time to join us earlier in the year, please come along and get involved and hear what’s coming up for Semester 2. As always, we need volunteers to help us keep up the famous ATC friendraising!
2017 ATC Community Directory
The Community Directory has been uploaded to Seqta and viewable and downloadable from there. The intended use of the Directory is for the ATC Community only, in organising transport of boys to and from school, sporting or cultural events and other school-related matters.
Instructions to access the Community Directory:
1. Go to the ATC Website
2. Click on Parent Lounge (top right hand side menu) on the ATC website
3. Login into your Seqta account
4. Click on Documents on the left hand side menu
5. Scroll down in Documents to Parent Information in the light blue section and you will see “2017 ATC P & F Community Directory” . Please note, the 2016 ATC P & F Community Directory is still available for viewing.
ATC Trivia Night
The annual ATC Trivia Night will be held on Saturday 29 July at 6pm in the Nudgee Junior Hall. The theme this year is ‘Countries’. If you need to join a table, contact your Year Level Parent Liaison, then include this information when booking online. If you have your table organised, nominate a team captain and provide their details in your booking. Bookings Close Monday 24 July. Of course we will have RAFFLE PRIZES AND PRIZES ON THE NIGHT! Buy raffle tickets online or on the night. The NJ Hall opens at 2pm for table decorating.
One country theme per table, and each table is required to have a theme song to go with their choice of country. Bonus points for dancing to your theme song! No anthems allowed. AFL Boys’ Day Out AFL
Book now before the end of term: The Annual Boys’ Day Out for AFL LIONS vs WESTERN BULLDOGS match is on Saturday 5 August. It might seem a long way off but we need to book our tickets early for this game. This is an event for all family members (dads, mums, sons, daughters and grandparents). We will meet at 3pm for pizza & drinks and then proceed as a group into the stadium for the match.
The Full package includes pizza & drinks, commemorative ATC cap and game ticket with prices ranging from $120 for a Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 Juniors) to only $25 for a Junior ticket (6-14 y/o). Reduced pricing for the package without the cap and for game tickets only. Just choose what suits your family.
Year 4 Holiday Play in the Park

From Saturday 24 June to Sunday 2 July the Annual Lifeline Bookfest will be held at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. If you love second hand book sales this is the biggest and best fundraising event to assist the 24 Hour Lifeline Crisis Support Line. RSL Sherwood Indooroopilly Annual STOMP On the Sunday July 23rd the RSL will host their annual STOMP a 17km trek from ANZAC Square to the RSL at Corinda. The trek is in honour of World War I veterans and will raise money through donations for veterans within the community. Anyone over the age of 12 years is more than welcome to participate and the entry fee is $25. For full details click here.
