In week 3 we will acknowledge many good young men at the Junior and Middle/Senior Signum Fidei Breakfasts. These students have been nominated for doing all that has been asked of them and contributed to our community in the areas of Learning, Leadership and Service. In addition, we acknowledged today at assembly boys who have achieved excellent academic results, leadership qualities, and/or shown significant improvement in their results. Congratulations to those students.
The beginning of the semester provides an ideal time for parents and guardians to spend time with their son in reviewing his results and planning for the second semester. It has been very pleasing to see the increase in numbers of boys who will be acknowledged at the upcoming assemblies. Setting goals and action plans are key steps in seeing improvement.
The State of Origin has also dominated the first week back. An outstanding effort from the Maroons highlighted for me the importance of the quality of the individual and that of leadership. ATC aims to develop good young men who are confident in displaying leadership qualities.

ATC Annual Junior School Cook Off Competition
For the past 6 years, our school has offered students the chance to show off their Cooking Skills by entering the ATC Annual Master Chef Cooking Competition. This competition is a highlight for staff and students and offers a platform to promote boys in the kitchen. The Cook Off lasts the duration of a school term and sees boys in the Junior School battle it out to make the Grand Final and be crowned the Annual Master Chef Champion. In years gone by, we have had some amazing prizes, judges and participants. Award winning chefs, several Olympic gold medallists, Australian Rugby Union players, kid’s television presenters, food bloggers and café owners have assisted in making this competition one not to be missed. Last year our winner took away an IPod and other great prizes.
Junior School students can bring their dish this Monday 17 July. Please refer to the ATC Annual Cook Off Timetable and Poster.
