The pride and enthusiasm the boys have for the College was on full display. The Junior Chamber Choir, Junior Handbells, Junior Saxophone ensemble, Junior Clarinet and Junior Flute all performed and entertained gathered elders. Ethan Draheim jumped on the piano and blew everyone away with his performance. To finish the formal proceedings all Year 5 Instrumental musicians gathered together for a one-time performance of “Power Rock”.
A special thanks to Carmel and Patrick McConnell who spoke to the audience and described their roles as Grandparents. Carmel used the analogy of grandparents as that of the elder elephants who are there ready to scoop up the younger elephants when they trip and fall. It was such a simple, yet apt description of the role our Grandparents play in the lives of our students. Thanks also to our Music Staff – especially our conductors on the day -Jonathon Bolt, Cath Esbensen, Brijette Tubb, Barb McGeever and Jason Goopy.

ATC Formal Music Concert – 27 August 2016
This Saturday will see the first instalment of our annual ATC Formal Music Concert at ERPAC, St Laurence’s College. This is a very exciting opportunity for all of our musicians to perform in front of a large audience in a fantastic venue. I invite all members of the ATC community to join us for this celebration of our thriving cocurricular music program. I would also like to communicate that it is an expectation that all performers stay for the duration of the concert to support all of the performers particularly those performing last on the night.
Mr Conor Finn, Acting Deputy Principal
