Coming Up in the Holidays

See our giant egg at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with those affected by the recent weather event and our thanks goes to the ATC Community for your support and understanding in ensuring the safety of our students and staff. On a very bright note, some Junior School boys created this large, decorative Easter egg which is now on display at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre for the ‘Schools Easter Egg Competition’. Our egg features some of the stations of the cross with Easter eggs painted as the symbol for new life and a purple bow representing the Cross. The bright orange and hot pink is unmissable and if you are at the Centre during the holidays, please stop by to see the display.

Term 1 Interim Report Cards

The Interim Report Cards for Term 1 were released on the Parent Portal yesterday. Teachers will release marks and feedback comments on SEQTA for each assessment task over the coming weeks. If you have forgotten your password, please refer to the attached 2017 Seqta Engage Parent Letter originally sent to Parents earlier in the year with instructions on how to retrieve your password. All other queries can be directed to ATC HELP DESK.

Parent Teacher Feedback Meetings

The Term 2 Parent Teacher Feedback Meetings are scheduled to take place on Monday 24 April 2017 and Thursday 27 April 2017. Meetings for Years 4-6 will take place in the Mt Sion iCentre and meetings for Years 7-10 will take place in the Nudgee Junior Hall. We strongly encourage your son to attend with you to hear directly the affirmations and recommendations for improvement from his teachers. Bookings will open on Easter Monday, 17 April 2017 at 5.00pm. Please have your son’s subject teachers available from the Parent Lounge or your son’s report card. Please refer to detailed information, including instructions for the online booking system, sent earlier today via the College APP.

Term 2 Uniforms

Students should continue to wear their Day Uniform from Week 1 Term 2. The ATC Winter uniform including Suit Coat and Tie, is to be worn after Mothers’ Day, Monday 15 May 2017.

Term 2 Co-curricular timetables

Term 2 will be no different in it’s busyness and for the convenience of all families who are organising their calendars over the holidays, please follow the links below to download the latest timetables for sports and activities.

PNG Book Drive

The wonderful PNG book drive is just one example of many organisations we support throughout the year to ‘Make a Difference.’ Beginning Week 1 of Term 2 and concluding on Friday the 12 May (Week 4), all Year 7 boys will be encouraged to support the drive by donating any books they no longer need. The books will be collected in the Head of Year 7 office. Year 7 students will also be asked to raise awareness by visiting classes in other year levels, speaking on assembly and creating posts to be published on our social media platforms.

Tuckshop Volunteers needed
Both tuckshops need your help, just one day per term or one day per month. We can continue to keep our costs low if we can get enough volunteers. It is a great opportunity to meet other mums and dads if you are new to the school. The environment is fun and friendly. You even get free lunch and a cuppa at morning tea! In particular, the Junior School tuckshop needs help on Monday 15 May and Middle School tuckshop on Thursdays 4 May and 25 May. Both tuckshops require assistance every Friday next term. Please email Danielle Milne:

I look forward to welcoming our students back safe and refreshed for the commencement of Term 2 on Tuesday 18 April. Happy Easter to all.

David Gardiner, Deputy Principal
