Main College Reception is open from 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Senior Reception is open from 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Brothers Morning & Afternoon Teas
On Thursday 28 January, Year 4 will have a muffin and popper at first break and get to meet some of the Senior students and Year 7 will have a muffin and popper at second break. Boys should still bring their normal lunches.
Day Uniform to school includes the pinstriped shirt, grey shorts, College hat, long socks and polished, black school shoes. Teachers will inform boys on which day they are to wear their sports uniform. Your son does not need to wear his College tie or suitcoat before Mother’s Day unless instructed by his teacher. The P&F also runs a Facebook group called ATC secondhand uniforms buy/sell. CLICK HERE to join and see discounted uniform items and textbooks for sale.
Student timetables are now available to view on SEQTA. This will help students prepare for their return to school. Please note: As some subjects are studied on a semester basis in Year 7, these students can now view the subjects they are studying in Semester One. Year 8 and 9 students have selected four electives. Two are studied in Semester One and two in Semester Two. The released timetable indicates which subjects have been allocated to Semester One. Students are encouraged to login to SEQTA and view their timetable before school starts.
Paddy’s Place (Years 4-7) and the Bakehouse (Years 8-12) tuckshops will be open on the first day of school, Wednesday 27 January. The tuckshops offer nutritious and tasty meal options made fresh onsite each day, including hot meals, a range of sandwiches, rolls and wraps as well as bakery items delivered every day and fresh fruit and salad options. There are also daily seasonal specials that change each term. Special dietary needs can be catered for, such as gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free.

The College App
All parents and caregivers should now have now installed the College App and we appreciate our new parents using the ‘Orientation’ tag over the past 6 months. As the majority of communication from the classroom, Sport Office, Music Department and College Administration is posted to the App at the start of the new school year, you are reminded to subscribe to your son’s 2021 year level now as well as his co-curricular activities that he may be interested in or has registered for Term 1. Remember to update your notices preferences in the App SUBSCRIPTIONS section. By doing this you will ensure you receive all vital information and more importantly, only receive information that is relevant to your family. By setting your subscriptions, you also guarantee receiving notices when registration for Sport and Club activities are released.

FAITH & MISSION
2021 Opening Mass
Year 12 parents and caregivers are asked to Save the Date for the 2021 Opening Mass and Senior Investiture to be held at Riverlife Church, Jennifer St, Seventeen Mile Rocks on Tuesday 9 February 2021. Parents and caregivers of the Senior Cohort will play a special part in the proceedings and are asked to mark this day in their calendar for attendance.
Parent Information Nights
Parent Information evenings will be held next week in Nudgee Junior Hall. Key staff will be sharing information on the year ahead. Due to current restrictions, only one parent per family can attend. The schedule is as follows:
Junior School Thursday 4 February
Year 4 parents and new Year 5 and 6 parents are invited to attend a session in the hall from 6pm -6.30pm. Following that, from 6.30pm -7.30pm new parents will join the continuing Year 5 and 6 parents in their son’s classroom to meet his Homeroom teacher.
Middle School Wednesday 3 February
Year 7 parents and new Year 8 and 9 parents are invited to attend a session in the hall from 6pm -6.30pm. Following that, from 6.30-7.30pm, new parents will join the continuing Year 8 and 9 parents in their son’s classroom to meet his Homeroom teacher.
Years 10 & 11 Monday 1 February
Years 10 and 11 parents are invited to a session in the hall from 6pm -7pm presented by members of the College Leadership Team.
All sporting opportunities, schedules and training timetables are shared on the College App. To view the information for your son’s sport, you must first subscribe to it in your App settings. The Sport Office is open for any enquiries, please call 37380525 or click here to email Lisa Mortlock, the Sport Administration Officer.
Information regarding 2021 Clubs and Activities will be released late January. Registration for Clubs will be open via Parent Lounge in Weeks 2 and 3 of Term 1 and notification of registration opening will be advertised via the College App and my blog. Please see the App for all opportunities and registration notifications. Make sure you have NOTIFICATIONS turned ON in your App settings.
During the first two weeks of Term 1, all Year 4 and interested Year 5 and 6 students will see and hear demonstrations on Brass, Woodwind and Percussion instruments by ATC Co-curricular Music Staff. They will participate in aural testing and completed an instrument preference survey which will allow us to place them on a suitable instrument should they elect to participate. All relevant information following these sessions will be sent home by the end of week 2. Middle and Senior School students who would like to commence or continue with music, production or drama and communication can visit the co-curricular music office at any time for information or can email us at email@example.com All boys are welcome to join Junior Choir (4-6) and Senior Singers (7-12). All co-curricular Music Ensemble rehearsals commence. All Guitar, Vocal, Piano, Production, Drama and Communication Lessons commence and Junior School Co-curricular Music Suitability Testing week and relevant information letters are emailed home.
All Brass, Woodwind and Percussion Lessons Commence and on Wednesday 10 February the Junior Band Co-curricular Music Information Evening is being held.
ATC P&F NEWS
Year 4 Welcome Afternoon Play
Year 4 2021 parents, caregivers and students are invited to the ATC P&F Year 4 Welcome Afternoon on Saturday 30 January from 3pm to 4.30pm on Brothers Oval. This is an opportunity for all Year 4 boys to meet some new friends and play fun games. Year 12 students will be on hand to organise 3 legged races, mini soccer games, cartooning workshops and a handball competition! Due to government regulations and the number of people attending, we are unable to serve food or beverages on-site and families cannot bring food or alcohol onto the College grounds. Please bring a water bottle and wear a hat and sunscreen. To meet the regulatory requirements of contact tracing and monitoring visitors on site, the College uses the EVA App digital check-in system.
