A Time to Reflect on Success and Plan for the Future

On Friday, the College Leadership Team met with the EREA Renewal panel to be briefed on the draft commendations and recommendations being developed following the Renewal process held last week at the College. In due course, a formal report will be forthcoming, and I look forward to sharing elements of it with the community. Along with the data collected through our engagement with the Australian Council of Educational Research school improvement tool in Term One 2023, the Renewal report will assist us in developing our next Strategic Plan to be launched in 2024.

All students in Years 7 to 12 completed an online survey facilitated by EREA in preparation for the Renewal process and their praise of our teaching staff in this process was significant. I was very pleased and proud to see this and will share some of this information with the community when it comes forward formally.

The growth in the College since the previous Renewal process in 2016 is simply enormous and this process has captured the achievements across all domains of the school life and articulated some of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. There is no doubting that ATC is a dynamic and successful project, and this is all about the partnership between parents and caregivers, students, staff and now, more and more past students who continue to contribute to the growth of the community. I thank everyone who was involved in the EREA Renewal process last week.

Staffing News

This week sees Ms Liza Peapell from the Formation Team and Mr Damian Steele from the Co-curricular Team finish their time with us at ATC. Each have made a significant contribution to our story and made a difference to the opportunities provided for our students. We thank them and wish them every success and continued happiness in their new roles at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School and Brothers Rugby Club respectively.

Trivia Night

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Parents and Friends Trivia Night on Saturday. An enjoyable time was had by all in attendance. Fabulous costumes and decorations were in abundance, and we look forward to more such evenings in the future. Congratulations and thank you to Suzanne Rosolen and all involved in making the evening a success.

Silver Success!

Congratulations to Ms Raissa Martin, one of our wonderful School Officers and a member of the Aussie Belles Goal Ball team, who competed at the BSA Goalball Asia/Oceania Championships in Bahrain last week. After seven highly competitive matches, the team made it through to the final and took the SILVER on Friday night. We are so proud of Raissa and her stellar performance and look forward to hearing of more successes when she and her team compete at the World Championships in Portugal in December.

Jane Richardson, Mum to Luke and Nathan, passed away over the weekend after an extended period of health challenge. We pray for Mr Tony Richardson and the boys at this very sad time. I ask the community to please keep Oliver Arnold (Year 6) and his family in your thoughts and prayers after the recent passing of his grandfather.

We hope that the passage of time will help heal the pain of their passing. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, may perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace. Amen.

God bless.
