2016 Rugby Season

Rugby got off to a flying start at ATC in 2015 and we are very excited about the future opportunities in this sport. In 2016 Rugby will be played in both a Sevens and full team format and will involve a number of carnival and tournament opportunities as well as a full school season running either side of the June/July holiday period. Boys will play in age groups, rather than year levels and will compete against a variety of Catholic and
Independent boys schools across south-east Queensland.
The BJRU Summer Sevens competition in Term 4 will give the boys the opportunity to play a different format of the game and enjoy the fast paced action of 7’s rugby.

Preseason training

We begin the ATC Rugby season in the coming weeks for the majority of age groups with a five week Pre Season Block. The Pre Season Block is a very important part of the season as we start all the skill development work that will lead on into the season. It is also a good opportunity for coaches to get a good gauge on age group strengths/weakness and also individual player abilities.
