2016 Cross Country Season

Our Cross country program in embedded within our Athletics program and involves specialised training. A combination of regular interschool QCIS competitions and representative opportunities allow all boys to achieve their best. Cross Country is a very popular sport at our College and continues to be a major aspect of our sporting program.

Our annual Inter-house Cross Country Championships are held around the grounds of Ambrose Treacy College. All students run within their respective age group (NOT year level) and have the choice (only run in one race) to run within an Age Championship Race or an Inter-house Participation Race (both races do score respective points for their house group).

Age Championship Races

These races are specifically for the students who are enthusiastic runners and also wish to run competitively for ATC. Those runners wishing to be considered for ATC Age Champion will need to run in their respective Age Championship Race.

House Races

These races are for the students who wish to participate and score points for their respective house. They are students who wish to jog socially with their mates.

Age groupings 2016

9 Years (born 2007), 10 Years (born 2006), 11 Years (born 2005), 12 Years (born 2004), 13 Years (born 2003), 14 Years (born 2002) & 15 Years (born 2001).

All Schools Cross Country

The All Schools Cross Country Relay Championships is held in April. This is a fantastic event and if we have the same enthusiasm and number of students attending as last year, it will be a sensational event for our runners to attend.
