To make sure everyone was kept busy until the 3pm bell, the final day of term held some special events including the culmination of the Year 7 Service sleepover where our guest speaker, the inspirational Nic Marchesi from Orange Sky Laundry, planted a seed of giving in the minds of our young men. The boys were able to experience the mobile showers and laundry service that Orange Sky offer to people living on the street. He also encouraged the boys to look for ways to connect with their community and help people living on the margins. Year 9 Real Talk Australia presentation took place today and Year 7 Lynch & 7 Treacy were at Wivenhoe Dam for Geography. Two showcase events rounded out the day: the hugely popular Lenten Fayre and our community End of Term Celebration Liturgy.
A series of special events for students, parents and families are scheduled for Term 3. A few of these are listed below for you to make a date claimer in your calendars. I wish to thank the ATC staff who have put in an incredible amount of effort and time this semester to provide the very best support for our students. Congratulations to the boys for such a big commitment this semester. Our overseas tours are running over the holidays and I wish all travellers a safe and happy trip discovering new cultures in Japan and honing new skills in New Zealand. Parents can follow their escapades on the College Facebook and Instagram pages.
