P&F News and Events Week 6 Term 3

There are still plenty of ‘friend-raising’ events coming up in Term 3 so please join us for some or all of these special days. Two important and fun outings that focus on the men of the house include the Fathers’ Day breakfast and our Annual Car Show which always attracts a big crowd of young men and their dads to the oval.

Year 9 Mass – Friday 19 August
Just a quick reminder that the Year 9 Mass will be celebrated on Friday 19 August at 9.15am in the Chapel. Parents are invited to attend the mass and can sit with their boys. Can the boys please bring a plate to share for the morning tea (sweet or savoury). These can be left at the kitchen in the Nudgee Junior hall. Please remember not to include any nuts and to place a label on food if it caters to any special dietary requirements (ie gluten or dairy free). This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Year 9 families and share in the spiritual growth of our boys.

Middle School Parent Morning Tea
All Middle school parents are invited to join us for a coffee catch up on Thursday 25 August at the Hundred Acre Bar, St Lucia Golf Links, Carawa Street, St Lucia. This is an informal opportunity to come along and have a coffee and chat with other middle school parents. Feel free to drop by at any stage after drop off. Coffee and cakes are available for purchase or you may want to purchase a late brekkie – totally up to you. We look forward to seeing you there.

P&F Annual General Meeting – Tuesday 6 September 2016 at 6:30pm
The upcoming Annual General Meeting of the ATC P&F is a wonderful opportunity for parents and members of the school to come along and get involved in supporting our wonderful school. You may have seen a number of amazing events that the P&F have held over the year – and thought about how rewarding it would be to get involved – and this is your chance! These running of these events rely on the commitment of our event coordinators and the support of the P&F Committee – and we would love to see some new (and old J) smiling faces!

The AGM will be held in the Mt. Sion Staff room and at this meeting all Executive positions are up for election. Our current Secretary Sharon Ward, is officially resigning her position. Sharon intends to remain an active P&F committee member and will support the incoming Secretary. Our Treasurer, Diana Taylor will also be stepping down from her role. Please consider these important and worthwhile roles.
