Athletics Program 2016

The ATC Athletics program will encapsulate Track and Field and Cross Country and will involve specialised training across running, jumping and throwing events. A combination of regular interschool and club competition plus representative opportunities will allow all boys to achieve personal excellence. Athletics and Cross Country are very popular sports at our College and will continue to be a major aspect of our sporting program into the future.

Athletics Seasons

February to May – Cross Country
May to September – Track & Field

Throws (Discus, Shot, Javelin)

Training will be in May and June. We are commencing Throws training for all students aged 10 years through to 15 years in May this year. Training for throws will be on Friday afternoons from 3.15pm to 4.30pm on Brothers Oval or Jack Bowers Oval. Students interested are to meet with coaches at 3.15pm at the Sports Shed on Brothers Oval.

Throws Training Dates for May and June
• Friday 6 May
• Friday 13 May
• Friday 20 May
• NO Training on Friday 27 May
• Friday 3 June
• Friday 10 June

Jumps

Training (High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump) Training will be held in May and June. We are commencing Jumps training for all students aged 10 years through to 15 years in May. Training for throws will be on Wednesday afternoons from 3.15pm to 4.30pm on Brothers Oval or Jack Bowers Oval. Students interested are to meet with coaches at 3.15pm at the Sports Shed on Brothers Oval.
